Line \ Confrontations \ Letterforms \ Dot Architectural Communications Spring 1997 CIVIL 2394 In the line exercise I was to use different line weights and spacing to convey an object and to give it different tonal value. In the confrontation exercise I was to bring familiar but dissimilar objects by using a process of abstraction, to arrange these shapes into a balanced and pleasing composition. In the letterforms exercise I was to create a graphic composition based on my selected letter. In the dot exercise I was to use a series of dots to create a graphic composition with varying tonal values. Each of these exercises were on 8 1/2"x 11" sheet of strathmore with ink as the medium. The dot exercise was on an 8"x 8" piece of strathmore.
